Emergencies

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.  

Non Emergencies

At all other times call 111 when you need medical help fast but it’s not a 999 emergency. NHS 111 is a fast and easy way to get the right help, whatever the time. This number should also be called at weekends and public holidays.

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally. 

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

• Treat yourself at home
• Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.

We are closed once a month for a staff meeting and we have planned Protected Learning Time on a Wednesday afternoon. Dates are published on our website in advance and in our newsletter for all planned days. 

Our Out of Hours service will direct you to our Partner Practice who will contact you with advice and a visit if necessary.

During these times only you will need to redial our Out-of-Hours Service, IC24 who will only cover for us.

Practice Plus GP Services has Walk-in facilities available to registered and unregistered patients. The Walk-in centre  is open every day from 08:00 to 20:00 and can see patients without an appointment for all GP services.

They do not offer telephone triage.  All patients must walk in and join the queue to be seen by the reception team.

The centre has been designed to help people with busy lifestyles who would like access to flexible and convenient health services.

The Walk-in service offers patients health care advice and treatment for general health problems and immediately necessary treatments.
