  • Persons aged 6 months to 64 years in clinical risk groups(as defined by the Green Book) 
  • Residents in care homes for older adults

Covid at Home Treatment- A Convenient Home Service

Alliance for Better Care provide the triage, medical assessment and prescription for the oral medication and referral for administration of IV Infusions to treat highest-risk, non-hospitalised patients with COVID-19. Infusions are delivered by Sussex Covid Medicines Delivery Unit.

Eligible patients will have received communications from NHSE and/or NHS Sussex or Alliance for Better Care to refer online if they test positive for COVID-19.

Does Age Affect The Risk Of Flu?

Yes. If you are aged 65 years or over or you are at higher risk

Who is at risk?

  • If you are aged 65 years or over or if you are on regular inhaled steroids
  • If you have a chronic respiratory disease (including asthma)
  • If you have chronic heart disease
  • If you have chronic renal disease
  • If you are diabetic
  • If you have a weak immune system
  • If you live in a long-stay residential or nursing home
  • If you have a chronic liver disease
  • If you are a carer

The Practice runs Flu clinics annually, we will contact you by text, phone or letter if you fit into any of the above categories

If you are not classed in the ‘at risk’ group, you can have your Influenza vaccination at any community Pharmacy for a fee.

For children of school age, the Practice is no longer able to offer the Influenza vaccination; this is to be administered in the school setting. If your child is absent from school during this time, catch-up clinics are held and you will need to contact your child's school directly.

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Vaccination

What is RSV?

RSV is a common respiratory virus that that can cause serious lung infections. While RSV infection can occur at any age, the risk and severity of RSV and its complications are increased in older adults and in neonates and small babies, and it has a considerable impact on individuals and NHS services during the winter months.

  • to older adults aged 75-79
  • individuals from 28 weeks’ pregnancy
