If you need an interpreter to accompany you to your consultation to make it easier for you and the Doctor, please ask the receptionist to book an interpreter to accompany you at your appointment.
When patients require the support of an Interpreter at the Practice, we need to ensure we provide the right services. Book a 20 minute appointment where possible with the Clinician.
The interpreting service enables the patient to engage with medical as well as admin staff, to make sure they have a choice and informed decisions around their care and needs.
There are two options when booking an Interpreter:
Face to Face consultation
For Community Support (Sign Language, lip speaking, Dual sensory loss please contact reception to enable us to arrange support though Action Deafness Communications.
Patients requiring British Sign Language or Braille also need to let us know in advance.
Sussex Interpreting Services
We can support and help to:
• Make appointments
• Link you with other services
• Read letters
• Complete simple forms
• Make telephone calls
Come anytime between 11.00am – 1.00pm on 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month. No appointment necessary.
